Current Favourites #5

Although this is my fifth current favourites post it's been ages since my last one and naturally there's a few new favourites I wanna give a shout out to.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
This is clearly just a sample which I got from FeelUnique for free, which you can read about doing yourself here, but I have fallen in love with it. This literally does what it says on the label. It is just the right amount of luminous which gives you a healthy glow without looking oily/shiney and does last all day. It is also so weightless that's it's extremely comfortable to wear.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer
I love this concealer under my eyes. It brightens so well and instantly makes me look more awake. It's also got such great coverage that it I also use to for a subtle contour/highlight.

ModelCo Contour Stick
I got this in my April Glossybox, which you can watch me unbox here, and I love it. I usually use the Clinique contour stick and love how easy it is. Well this is more affordable and just as easy to blend. It's the perfect shade for a natural contour and helps give warmth to my face. It stays in place all day and I'm so happy I got it this month!

Barry M Coconut Infusion Gel Nail Paint in 'Oyster'
I think this is my all time favourite nail polish shade and I can't get enough. Barry M nail paints in general are one of my favourite ranges as they are so affordable, offer a great range of colours and last well on the nails too.

Simple Kind To Skin Eye Make-Up Remover
Simple is one of my favourite drugstore skincare brands and my go to whenever I need a quick fix. This new product is an oil-based eye make-up remover which you need to shake up before using to mix it up. It removes even the toughest mascara easily and leaves your skin feeling so soft afterwards that makes it feel more like a treatment rather than a chore!

What's been your favourite products recently? If you've done a post then leave a link below as I love reading them!

April's Birchbox

The other day I received April's Birchbox box and I couldn't wait to share what I received! I have filmed an unboxing of this for my YouTube channel, which I will be uploading later this week, and that will also include an unboxing of this months Glossybox. If you would like to see my initial thoughts on this then click here to subscribe so you don't miss out!

Anyway...onto this month's Birchbox, here's what I got;
  • Manna Kadar Cosmetics High Definition Powder - full size - £27
  • ModelCo Eye Define Crayon Liner - full size - £11.00
  • Polaar IcePure Gentle Scrub with Arctic Cotton - £23.50 (for the full size)
  • Luseta Beauty Keratin Smooth Conditioner - £5.00 (for the full size)
  • Baïja Paris Crème Moana in Fleur de Tiarè - £15.90 (for the full size)

This box really shows how much you get for your money in the fact that the two items which are full sized are worth £38.00 and the box is only £12.95! It's amazing!

I have to say that other than the ModelCo eye liner I haven't heard of any of the brands or products so I'm really excited to try them out and see what I think of them. I think the item which I'm most excited to try is the powder from Manna Kadar as, if it works well, the size is perfect to throw in the handbag/travel with as it's much smaller and simpler packaging than most other setting powders!

If you've received a Birchbox this month let me know what your favourite item is or, if you use any other beauty subscriptions, then leave me links to any reviews you've done below as I'd love to hear about other ones and compare!

Empties #17

It feels like it's actually been a wee while since I've done an empties post and I think that's due to my 'No New Make-Up March'. Thanks to this, which you can read about here, I've been using up products which I already have and have been forgotten about thanks to exciting new releases that I can't stop myself from buying.

However, my skincare routine nor make-up usage hasn't lessened at all so I have managed to use up some products and thought I would share my thoughts on them.

Neals Yard Beauty Sleep Concentrate
The scent of this product takes some getting use to but as soon as I was over it I really enjoyed using this product. It really helped keep my skin moisturised as it just soaked in beautifully without leaving a greasy feeling.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
The same classic product with a slightly different scent. This is a rose and lavender scented version which I thought I would try out for a change. However, the scent was a bit overwhelming for me and I think next time I will stick with the original.

Pixi Glow Tonic
I love this exfoliating glow tonic. Everything from the beautiful packaging to the gentle exfoliation for your skin, this is an overall winner. I feel you know when a product works for you when you notice a difference when you stop using it and with this, I can really tell the difference!

Doux Me Pure Spring Water Spray
I got this spray in a Glossybox and it's from a brand I've never heard of before but I've completely fallen in love with it. Whenever I cleanse my face to remove make-up I like letting it breath so prefer not to apply any moisturiser straight away so instead I would spray some of this on my face. It is such a fine mist and feels so refreshing. I think it'll be a must have during Summer to help cool down - optimistic to think Scotland will be hot enough to need to do this!

Benefit "That Gal" Face Primer
This brightening primer worked a charm. I recently stopped wearing foundation on a daily basis thanks to my skin really improving due to this product which you can read about here, so I've been using this primer to help brighten my skin on a daily basis instead and give me a 'glow from within' look.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel
My ULTIMATE favourite scent from Lush and a product which I always stock up on each Winter. This was my last bottle so I've got a loooong wait until I can enjoy it again.

Zoella Shower Glaze
Talking about amazing scents...this was another shower gel which I absolutely LOVED. This gingerbread scent was so nice and thankfully I think is still available throughout the year!

Korres Santorini Shower Gel
How have I managed to use up this many shower gels!? This mini is from a recent Glossybox and also smells incredible. This is less of a sweet scent and does make me think about holidays abroad in the sunshine...one can dream!
