Foreo Luma Play

If you've seen my video, which you can watch here, I got a Foreo Luna Play in a Birchbox and was very excited to try it out. I've seen a lot of the bigger version - the Luna 2 - in other bloggers nighttime routine posts and couldn't understand what the hype was all about. I thought it was a novelty item that wouldn't make much difference but boy was I wrong.

The first time I used this little guy I was literally amazed by the difference it made in my skin straight away. It was the softest it's ever been since my baby days. After using this a couple of times I found my skin looking brighter and healthier to the point where I actually no longer wear foundation!

The improvement in my skin has been so amazing that I was sure it couldn't be down to just the one product. However, it's the only thing which has changed in my skincare routine which makes me think it must be.

I use this roughly 3 - 4 times a week and will definitely be buying the bigger version which you can re-charge once my wee one has had it's day! Did anyone else experience such a change in their skin while using the Foreo Luna Play?

Benefit They're Real Double The Lip

As you will have read in my previous post, which you can read here, there was one stand out item from March's Birchbox which I knew I had to dedicate a post to itself. Introducing....Benefit's They're Real Double The Lip.

Benefit are always great at launching new products so you've probably seen these around recently. This is the first product I've seen which includes both a liner and lipstick in the same bullet making application simple and effortless and I think it's genius!

Having seen other people's swatches I was intrigued but unsure as to whether this would be for me as I don't really go for the "liner look". However, when I saw this sample in my Birchbox I was very excited as it allows me to try out the product myself without splashing the cash.

The first time I tried this I was so surprised by how creamy it felt and smoothly it applied. The shape of the bullet makes it ridiculously simple to apply and, after a small amount of blending in, I absolutely love the slight ombre affect which this gives. I have the shade 'Lustry Rose' and it's the perfect day time lip shade which adds a slight hint of pink to the lips and life to the face. It's going to be perfect for Spring!

I would normally blend it together for a less harsh definition

Of course, since it isn't a matte lip it doesn't last as long as other lip products but it lasts a good few hours before needing topped up. I do find that the liner stays longer then the lipstick side so that needs an eye kept on it but all in all, this is very comfortable to wear and quick to re-apply.

If you've tried this out let me know what you thought of the liner and lipstick combination and if it works for you!

March's Glossybox

If you saw my last post - which you can find here -  I recently got my Birchbox for March. But Birchbox isn't the only beauty box subscription that I have - I'm a little obsessed - so I thought I'd keep it fair and show what I got in March's Glossybox too as again, this month they seem to have up'd their game and have really impressed me with what's inside.

So let's just get in to it...

Oolution Eye Love - RRP £30
I've never heard of this brand before and can't believe how much this little tube is worth! This is full size so would normally be £30 if you bought it...amazing value to get through Glossybox!! Says it's Anti-dark circles and puffiness so count me in

Sleek Make-up Eye & Cheek Palette - RRP £10
Another full sized item! Before receiving our boxes we got to choose which one we wanted out of 4 and I picked the palette called 'Dancing Til Dark'. I'm not 100% sure this would've been my favourite palette as although I love the eyeshadows I'm not convinced yet by the blusher shades and not sure they really suit me. However, pigmentation is amazing as ever from Sleek and they've really improved their packaging from years ago. There's a massive mirror which makes this the ideal travel buddy. The lid also hold itself up which I really enjoy as it's very annoying when they drop ether side so you have to balance it while trying to apply eyeliner neatly

This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up - RRP £30 (for the full size)
This is a product which I've been wanting to try for literally SSOOOO long so I literally squealed when I saw it in this box. Victoria Beckham has sworn by this product so, given how great she looks even though she is running around after 4 kids and running a fashion empire, I will definitely take her advice

Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy - RRP6
Another full size item? Here it is! Again another brand I've never heard of which is why I love Glossybox as you get to try so many new brands without spending a whole lot of money. I think the packaging is adorable and the perfect size to just through in your handbag and go

SkinFix  Inc Foaming Oil Cleanser - RRP £14.99 (for the full size)
Yet another new brand which is being brought to my attention. A foaming oil cleanser - something I've never heard of before - which is ph balanced, sulphate free and with jojoba and macadamia oils. Not much not to love there!

Which do you prefer the look of? This month's Glossybox or Birchbox? If you receive any other beauty box subscriptions then leave links to your posts below and I love seeing what other boxes offer.

March Birchbox

If you read my previous post, which you can find here, then you will know that I'm not allowing myself any new make-up this whole month so I was even more excited about receiving my Birchbox than usual and I was not disappointed! Not one of these disappointed me and I've already tried and LOVE another one so find below everything that I got;

Benefit They're Real Double the Lip in Lusty Rose
This is the product which I've already used and I love it! I think a separate post will be coming soon but basically it applies like a dream and is such a beautiful soft shade perfect for any Spring day

Balance Me Instant Lift Primer
I use primers every day to help keep my oil at bay and to help my make-up last longer. This one claims to be 99% natural which I love and helps to give a smoother finish

Korres Santorini Vine Shower Gel
I used to work in a pharmacy which sold Korres products so thanks to the staff discount I made my way through quite a few of their products. The first thing to mention is that these smell INCREDIBLE! This is the perfect travel size and will definitely be getting packed on my next weekend away

Amika The Shield Extending Spray
If I had to pick one item which I was less excited about I think this would be it. I recognise the brand as a really great one but still not got my head around what this product is really for and where is fits into my haircare

Marcelle Gentle Make-Up Remover
This is a Birchbox exclusive and one I'm very excited to try. I've seen this products in Boots and have always been tempted to try out the brand but never made the full commitment. However, now I get to try it without having to splash out on the cash!

So far this box is an absolute winner and I really think every product will be used up. If you enjoyed this post then a post on March's Glossybox will be coming soon.

No New Make-Up March

This year is set to be an expensive one for me; buying a flat, sisters hen do, sisters wedding and a couple of potential stay-cations. So I thought, to help me save the pennies, I would challenge myself to 'No New Make-up March'! Never heard of it?! Well that because I made it up!

I know how tempted I always am to pick up a couple of new items from the make-up stands, especially when there's new releases, and literally find myself spending so much money on beautiful new make-up which in reality, I don't really need. I have boxes of make-up in my room just waiting to be used so I thought, to help use them up - and to stop me spending so much money - I would challenge myself to not buy any new make-up this month.

This also stretches to new cleansers that I don't need or yet another tangle teezer which is a different colour to the one I have so obviously I NEED it...

It is actually proving a lot more difficult than I thought...I was in a massive Boots at the weekend and left with a hand full of swatches and a list of products which I can't wait to try! One being the new liquid lipsticks by L'Oreal...anyone tried these yet?! I'm hoping that by reading other blogs and reviews it might help calm my addition so please link any below!!

I'm embarrassed to admit this is only half of it...

If you think you're similar to me in the way that you have so much make-up and yet continue to buy more then I would recommend joining in this no new make-up month. I'm hoping to re-discover a couple of favourites from my stash that I've forgotten about!

Also, if we don't succeed this month then there's soon another month beginning with 'M' so we can always try again...
