Empties #3

The title really says it all so I will jump straight into the products I've recently used up. A lot of them I have reviewed previously so I will link them below. I have to say I loved all of these products and have already re-purchased a few of them.

  • Nspa Shower and Bath Gel in Passion fruit- the NICEST smelling bath products you can buy from your local drugstore or even supermarket!
  • The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet- amazing...full review here
  • Revon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in 030 Medium- I think this is the first time I've fully used up a powder because it really was that good! I often choose this over my MAC mineralize skinfinish powder
  • Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily Skin in 220 Natural Beige- I absolutely love this foundation and will repurchase again. Brilliant staying power and I love how you can get it to suit your skin type
  • Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water- already repurchased...full review here

I am now currently working my way through a few Christmas goodies so there'll no doubt be another empties soon enough! What's everyone else been using up and loving recently?

Nails Inc Porchester Square Dupes

About a year ago or so I received a mini of Nails Inc nail varnish in 'Porchester Square' in one of my Glossybox's. Instantly this became my favourite nail colour of all time and I wore it constantly- as in literally every day. However, with it just being a mini version it soon started to run out which meant I had to start a manhunt for a replacement. I soon realised that it was going to be quite as easy as I had hoped.

After failing to find the right shade in Nails Inc for a wee while I took to the blogesphere to find a dupe and thanks to Vivianna Does Makeup (one of the best beauty blogs out there!) I found a dupe in Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in the colour 'Almond'. With Barry M being £3.99 compared to Nails Inc hefty £11 price tag I quickly forgot about the original and stuck to Barry M.

Again, I wore this on a very daily basis and didn't think I could find a better dupe until a No7 assistant recommended No7 Gel-Look Shine nail varnish in Porcini and I could not contain my excitement. All three of these nail varnishes are exactly the same. As in EXACTLY the same and you really can't tell the difference just by looking.

The lighting casts a shadow on the right but the colours are all the same!
The picture above shows each varnish on the nail below it and yet they all match exactly!

All in all my favourite would be the No7 version as it's mid-price range (£7), the best brush I've found and of course the colour matches Porchester Square perfectly!

3 versions of the same colour may be a bit much but when you love a colour that much sometimes it's worth finding the perfect dupe.

My Favourite Winter Lips Products

In winter most of my make-up stays the same, however, the one thing which changes the most is my lip colour. In summer I definitely opt towards the brighter, sweeter colours but come winter I'm more into the rich, deeper colours.

So far there has been a certain 3 colours which have repeated been seen upon my face and I thought I'd share these with you as I think they're the perfect winter colours.

There is a;
  • dark red- Rimmel's Kate Moss collection in 107 (does anyone not own this?!!)
  • deep pinky/purple- Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in 005 Parisian Passion
  • deep pink/berry- Soap & Glory Lipstick in PomPom

All of these are very pigmented and last really well on the lips. There's also such a variation between these three that I think they are the only three which you would need throughout all of winter! They are also all drugstore so are very affordable and easy to get your hands on.

No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush

When Clinique  released their Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm I instantly wanted one. However, having had problems with cream blushes in the past I was a bit reluctant to spend £19 on something which I may never use. So, after recieving a £3 off No7 make-up voucher I headed to the counter and was VERY happy to see that No7 had releaesd their own version for only £9.

Immediately I loved the packaging and thought it would be perfect for travelling with but I was still a little apprehensive about how it would sit on my skin. All my worries were unnecessary since from the first moment this glided onto my cheek it was love at first swipe!

It blends in beautifully and sits evenly on the skin. It is very pigmented and last all day long on my cheeks which helps you look fresh and awake throughout your whole working day, even if you don't feel it!

I got the shade Watermelon and I think it's the perfect Winter cheek colour! I've literally used it every day since I bought it!
