Bloglovin'

I've been hearing bits and bobs about this thing called Bloglovin' for a little while now but only today did I actually decide to find out what it is. After scrolling through the site I have decided I really like it and signed myself right up.

It's basically a place to follow all your favourite blogs and discover new ones on a whole range of topics. It's also a place to easier share blogs which you enjoy and for people to share their favourites with you too.

I would highly recommend joining if you're someone who enjoys reading blogs and of course I would appreciate a follow on it to. As you may or may not have noticed I have added a button on the right on which you can easily find the link to follow this blog on it or you can click here to go straight to my page.

I'd really love some followers over there and if you do go then thank you very much :)

Thanks for reading

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Micellar Cleansing Waters are fast becoming my favourite beauty must haves. Although I'm still yet to try the infamous Bioderma I am now trying out my third different type Micellar Water.

The previous ones I have tried are the L'oreal 3-in-1 Micellar Solution and the Eau Therma Avene one (blogged about here) and have enjoyed both of them. However, when I saw that Garnier had released a new one also so I was very excited to try it out.

I really like the packaging of the product and was surprised by how big it was! 400ml should hopefully last quite a wee while and I couldn't believe how cheap it was- especially compared to Bioderma. I believe it's £4.99 from Superdrug (I'm in Australia currently so popped to my local Priceline where it was $11.99). I also enjoy that it has a pop lid instead of a screw top just to save some time in the evening when removing my make-up.

The bottle claims that it " removes make-up, cleanses and soothes skin on the face, eyes and lips in one step without needing to rinse off" and I agree. The scent free solution is so gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling fresh and soft. I've not tried this to take off eye make-up as I use a seperate eye make-up remover but I've read that as long as you soak a cotton pad and leave it on the eyes for a few moments first it should remove eye make-up also.

Out of the three which I've tried I think this has become my favourite. Simply down to the price and how effectively it takes off a lot of make-up. It may not take off every single trace of make-up but I don't think anything will unless it's a rinse off one.

Anyone else given this a go? Who wins- Bioderma or Garnier!?

No7 High Shine Lipgloss

At Christmas this year I received a parcel from one of my sisters including a home made sock monkey (!!) and some make-up goodies. One of these make-up items was a No7 High Shine Lipgloss in the colour 'Coral Kiss'.

The lipgloss states that it's "A collagen boosting moisturising gloss that glides on for voluptuous smoothing shine. With vitamins that protect and care."

I love this lipgloss and find it glides on beautifully and has no nasty sticky feeling to it. I also agree that it does give the lips a fuller appearance and even manages to achieve this without the tingly feeling- like the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker which I love but have found that not everyone likes the strong pins-and-needles-type feeling that it gives.

Another thing which I love about this lipgloss is the fact that it is SPF15. I find that not many lipgloss's do contain an SPF so since I'm currently in Australia I am constantly reaching for this gloss over the others for the beautiful shine and also protection which it gives.

The only fault I could think about this gloss is that it doesn't last long enough but that's only because I love it so much that I want it to last days on end!

After having a bad experience with one of their mascaras (read it here) this lipgloss has restored my faith in the No7 make-up range. I would also very highly recommend their skin beauty products as I've tried quite a few of them and have nothing but good things to say about them. If you would like a review on any then please let me know!

Little Pieces of Joy from Benefit

For some reason I always feel that Benefit gets over looked a lot in the make-up blogging world. Other than their amazing 'They're Real' mascara you don't hear much about it, especially compared to other brands such as MAC and NARS. However, Benefit is definitely a brand which deserves to be spoken about.

I am a massive fan of the product, design and performance of all the items which I've tried. But being a traveller right now with just one backpack means there's little room for an extensive make-up collection...step up the Benefit mini's!

I got quite a few of these this Christmas and have to say I am very impressed by them all. The products are obviously exactly the same as the full sized items but just contained in equally as cute smaller packaging. They are absolutely perfect for throwing in the hangbag when going out or for trying the product before diving in and purchasing the full sized items, which can be quite pricey!

The mini's which are photographed are;
  • the 'ultra plush lipgloss' (which I got in a set- hense so may!).
  • 'boi-ing concealer' in all three shades,
  • 'they're real mascara',
  • 'hello flawless foundation',
  • 'some kind-a gorgeous foundation',
  •  'hoola' bronzer,
  • 'coralista' blusher,
  • 'porefessional primer',
  • 'bene tint' and 'posie tint' lip and cheek stains
  • and also 'high beam' and 'sun beam' highlighters.

Although I have been very impressed with all of the mini's so far (the gloss's smell SO good) below are my favourites out of them all and the ones which I reach for on a daily basis.

The Hello Flawless foundation has literally become one of my favourite foundations ever. I didn't have many expectations for it as I'd never heard much about it but I got my colour matched in store and think it gives a beautiful glowy effect to the skin (similar to the very popular Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation). I would say it's medium coverage but is very build-able and lasts well throughout the day. With SPF 25 it's a must for holidays/summer time.

The some kind-a gorgeous is also a foundation but this is one which I like to carry in my handbag at all times. I use to top up my face throughout the day. It glides on easy and blends brilliantly.

I'd heard a wee bit about the Hoola bronzer so was very excited to try it and was not disappointed. It is the perfect bronzer for contouring and adding a little colour to the whole face if needed. It has no shimmer so is completely matte which helps give the more natural look.

Porefessional  primer is one which I've used before and will definately use again. It makes the skin look and feel so soft and flawless and helps make-up stay on for longer. Benefit is amazing for primers as not only is this one amazing but they also have a 15 hour one which I blogged about here which is also absolutely amazing.

The High Beam highlighter is also a beautiful product which is so easy to use and gives the face a natural glow. Light bounces off this highlighter giving the cheekbones a lovely little lift.

I love Benefit and can't wait to explore more of their collection! Any favourites I should try?
