First BBQ of 2013! OOTD

The sun finally decided to get it's hat on and come out to play and I've never been so thankful to have a day off work, so to celebrate I joined a few friends for a cheeky wee BBQ and fruit ciders.

Since we haven't had such nice weather in a long time I wanted to make the most of it by getting the old pins out and get a skirt on. Both the skirt and top here are from Topshop and were purchased a couple of years ago for some work experience I had with Ted Baker. I love the shape of the skirt and especially loved the fact that it refuses to be blown up by any sudden gusts of wind so my dignity stayed intact.

Hope you're all enjoying any sunshine you may be having!

Tangle Teezer Review

Ladies put your hairbrushes down! The 'Tangle Teezer' is about and it is incredible!!

I had wanted one of these for ages and was lucky enough to be given one for Christmas, and a very pink one at that! As someone who has long hair and often suffers from a lot of tangles I found this to be a miracle worker in my hair. Now I brush my hair cause it feels amazing and not just when I have to. Due to it's design it literally just seems to glide through the hair. Not only does it get ride or tangles with less pain but it also causes less breakage and seems to be more gentle and kind to my hair leaving it with a soft-looking finish.

These come in a number of different colours and recently mini travel ones have been released which I can't wait to get my hands on. I cannot recommend these enough to everyone and literally can't remember the last time I used a hairbrush.

Anyone else given these a go?

Beauty Haul

I was very naughty today...and I'm not proud of myself...but I don't regret buying one item!!
I've been trying to save up recently for a trip of a life-time which I'm planning for the end of this year and so far I've been pretty good. I've managed not to buy lots of clothes, do nights out on the cheap, resist the sales but then today, I made the mistake of 'popping into' Boots!

This should never be attempted by any girl not wanting to spend money. I could literally spend so long just looking at all the pretty make-up products they have. In my defence, I did have a lot of vouchers to use and ended up saving about £20 thanks to them so less damage was done than initially thought.

So here's what I purchased;
  • No7- Beautiful Skin Facewipes (recently blogged about here.)
  • No7- Beautiful Matte Foundation
  • Soap & Glory- A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm (in Vanilla Bean)
  • Soap & Glory- Lip Stick (in Pom Pom)
  • Soap & Glory- Cheekmate Cheek and Lip Stain
  • Maybelline- The Eraser Eye
  • Benefit- Happy Beauty Day set (which includes a mini Pore Fessional, BADgal Lash Mascara and Posie Tint Lip and Cheek Stain)

Anyone else had a weak moment recently and splurged out a bit? We're all friends here so own up!

Empties #2

Hello you lovely lot! How are we all? So I have recently been keeping hold of a few empty products which I have used up just so I can do a wee review on them and let you know how I found them.

No7 Beautiful Skin Face Wipes-The BEST face wipes I have ever used. I am quite fussing when it comes to face wipes so find it hard to discover ones which I like and don't mind spending the extra few pounds on. These ones are moist, strong and give your face a really good clean while leaving it feeling refreshed and nourished. No7 often have £5 off vouchers aswell which means they're only £2!!

Simple Kind To Skin Night Cream- A new night cream always worries me as the thought of a thick cream lying on my face for such a long time fills me with fear of break outs. However, Simple offers a night cream which is 'Kind To Skin' and would be suitable to even sensitive skin. It caused no break outs whatsoever, didn't feel greasy at all and allowed me to wake up without the tight face feeling.

Toni & Guy Shampoo and Conditioner- These two I got for damaged hair as at the time I had VERY damaged hair. It was my first experience with Toni & Guy and I have to say I really did enjoy it. Although it is usually more expensive than I would pay it was on a 3 for 2 offer so thought that there was no better time to try it and I don't regret it at all. It really pulled my hair out of a bad place. I haven't repurchased it yet as I am saving the pennies but I would recommend it.

Johnsons Baby Oil-Now before you all feel the need to let me know, I know this is for babies! But I had read somewhere that it is also very good for moisturising anyone's skin. I applied this every morning straight after my shower and although it did leave my skin feeling softer it also left it feeling oily for much of the day. It even lead to embaressing moments at work when I would lean on the counter it would leave a mark from the oil so I just looked like a greasy seagull!

The Little Bubble Co Strawberry Sundae Bath & Shower Gel- I realise this isn't completely empty but I also wanted to show the amazing colour that it is. This was the first time I tried something from 'The Little Bubble Co' (available at Boots) and I love it. It smells AMAZING!!! It also produces a vast amount of bubbles which somehow manage to last longer than other bubbles so I feel like my dignity is kept just that little bit longer in the bath.

That is all I have to report for now. Anyone else had any good/bad experiences with any products recently?
