Empties #16

It's been a while since my last empties post so my collection has built up. So much so that in order to keep the post shorter than a novel I'll only include items which I haven't reviewed in an empties post recently to stop things from becoming repetitive. So here's what I've used up over the past couple of months;

Pixi Glow Tonic
This is such a cult product that I didn't try it for so long as I couldn't understand how much difference a good tonic could make. Having tried this, I now know. This stuff has changed my life skin so much for the better that I haven't used anything else since

Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist
I love using a makeup fixing spray and tried this one for the first time. I LOVE the packaging and it smells really nice too. The mist is nice and fine so it's doesn't feel uncomfortable spraying onto your face. It is a bit more expensive than other sprays I've tried so I'm not sure I'll repurchase this one every time but I did really enjoy using it

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel
My absolutely favourite scent ever ever ever! Being a Christmas limited edition means that this empty bottle means I've now got to wait 9 months for another one but it's SO worth the wait!

PocketBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel
This may be a random one to include in an empties post but I literally can't get enough of these little anti-bacterial hand gels from Bath & Body works (I think that's what it's called). There's so many different scents which I must go on about a lot as every time a friend of mine goes to the US they bring me back a hand full of these little guys to keep me stocked up

Dirty Works 8-in-1 Miracle Serum
I picked this up as an emergency serum as I had run out and didn't have time to pop to Boots so thought I'd take a chance on this when I was in Sainsbury's. I was very pleasantly surprised by this and would definitely buy again. It's a gel like consistency which felt really nice going onto the skin and really helped my moisturiser work better

EOS Lip Balm
Again, another cult product which I thought was over priced but when I saw it on offer in Boots I gave it a go and can definitely see why everyone loves it so much. Although it feels like any other lip balm it really is very affective and made my lips feel so much softer

E.L.F Lip Exfoliator
To go along with the lip balm, this was a great lip scrub and was so affordable. I love how this comes as a stick rather than in a pot like a lot of other lip scrubs as this made applying the product so easy and mess free. It's rough enough to really scrub away dry lips but also contains oils to leave the lips feeling moisturised

Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder
I really love this powder. It doesn't cake, gives good coverage, can be built up and last throughout the day. Definitely one to keep in the make-up bag at all times

And that is it, well done if you've made it this far! Let me know if you've tried any of these products or what you favourite empty product was this month.

Birchbox Unboxing

As you will have seen from my last post I got a great Glossybox this month so was very excited to see what I got in my Birchbox. Not only did I get my monthly subscription but I also paid extra to get a box purely dedicated to skincare. Click the photo below to see what I got in the two Birchbox boxes and my first impressions of them.

The Longest Lasting Lip I've Ever Worn

As you will see in this vlog here I went out for a night out wearing a rather bold lip. Because my outfit was all black I wanted to inject some colour and chose this shade by Maybelline to do it. This ColorDrama Lip Crayon in shade 310 is such a beautiful and bold colour. I was nervous wearing it on a night out as I knew I'd be drinking wine which meant no straw so I expected the colour to fade fairly quickly.

After a few hours - and a good few glasses of wine - I popped to the toilet to inspect how well the colour was holding in there and was extremely surprised to see it was all still there. It hadn't faded at all! Nor was I told awkwardly that I had lipstick on my teeth at any point either so it was a winner all round.

Since it is a matte product my lips felt slightly dry by the end of the night but nothing that a coat of lip balm could sort. Applied at 7:30pm it was still refusing to budge come 2am even after a night of drinking, dancing and much laughing!

If you've ever tried a product which lasted this long then please let me know below!

February Glossybox

Glossybox is something which I've been subscribed to for quite a while and I still get an excited tummy when I see the box waiting for me when I get home. As soon as I had opened the external packaging I knew I was going to love it. The box is themed around Love and as such has been given a slight make-over. I LOVE the packaging, which is very fitting with the theme, and also loved the products inside the just as much!

Here's whats inside;

  • Jeanna Arthes L'Eau de Rose - full size - RRP £20
  • La Theorie Des Volcans Noir Eternae Youth Potion Face Scrub - full size - £26
  • Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Strength Restorer Balm - RRP £4.49 for full size
  • Ciate London Paint Pot in Iced Frappe - full size - RRP £9
  • Mememe Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold - full size - RRP £7.25

I have actually got the Mememe highlighter already and it is a great dupe for the Benefit version and I would recommend it if you're on a bit of a budget. The item which I am the most in love with is definately the nail polish from Ciate. I've never tried Ciate before but have heard nothing but good things about it so was very excited to try it out. Its also in the most beautiful pinky nude and having just tried on my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding the other day I think this may the most perfect nude to go with it.

I genuinely really like every item in the box and look forward to using them all. If I had to pick one which I'm least excited about I would pick the perfume. I think it's amazing that this is in the box as it's such great value but personally, for me, floral scents aren't my favourite. However, I've worn this the past couple of days and it reminds me of my granny for some reason...I'm not sure if she used to wear rose perfume as well but I kind of like it more for this reason.

I think this is one of the best Glossybox's that I've ever had as I can genuinely say that I will use every product in the box and excited to do so!

If any of you have received your Glossybox's this month let me know what you thought and which product is your favourite.

Weekend Vlog

My new vlog is up! Last weekend I decided to pick up the camera and vlog since it'd been a while and quite frankly I missed it. There wasn't much going on but everything seemed such a rush. Click the video above to see what I got up to, or head over to my YouTube channel to see what else I've posted. If you want to like and subscribe that would be great!
